Which packs are best?
So assuming i have decks i want to craft (in alchemy), requiering many different sets, but also some requiering pretty much only 2 sets. Which sets are best to buy?

I could go and buy 50 packs of all sets and go from there, i could also just buy newest set for the golden packs which seems to be best value?

This assumes a nearly new card library with nearly nothing unlocked.

Any advise?

I'd recommend avoiding Alchemy unless you are very familiar with it. So with that in mind, don't open Alchemy packs. Currently in Standard there are a number of sets that are going to rotate in 4 months. So that's a reason to wait. However, the new set that the golden packs count will change to Bloomburrow in August. If you want to open packs now, Outlaws at Thunder Junction (the current new set) is your best bet for bonus Golden packs.

And I would avoid mythic packs unless you are having trouble finding the mythics you need more than the rares. (Typically rares are the hardest group in a set to fill out because there are so many of them.)

Also do go get the free pack codes if you haven't already. (google it).

lost caverns of Ixlan is a good alchemy set, the phyrexian wars sets like march of the machines etc are good too.
