ive had some absurd bad luck streaks in this game after some absurd win streaks where i couldn't draw wrong. the way it goes it feels rigged. To the point of where you can call out whats going to happen before the game even starts. it def feels rigged and weird like its not natural randomness and something is up with how decks are shuffled.
i tested something by putting two off color cards in a deck that could be played in the deck with a card but the deck didn't have the mana to cast them straight. i Played a ton of matches and the amount of matches i drew those two cards in the opening hand just seemed statistically impossible
with all that said though i remember having some crazy bad luck streaks in paper magic that seemed like straight voodoo because not only do you shuffle your deck the opponent typically will too when asked to cut yet i still could not draw a normal hand match after match tournament after tournament.
i play tier 3 to tier 1 decks that have good mana to spell balance and a little protection against screw and flood.
my conclusion is that if arena is rigged or not the game just has a huge luck factor and weird random ♥♥♥♥ like this happens and should be part of the expectation. it is a bit like rock paper scissors or a gamble a lot of the time. You can't win the game consistently on luck alone. it takes a lot of game knowledge and practice to play a deck and sequence each turn perfectly but so many games are decided on luck.
its a fun and addictive loop but to enjoy this game fully you have to accept the variance and randomness of it all. which includes accepting its normal to hit long loss streaks with even tier 1 decks.
one can see this in limited too. you study the format. you look at the best decks constructed possible. You then go ahead and draft what on paper would be considered a perfect deck with choice rares. then you 0-3 on bad draws to badly constructed decks.
magic is just an imperfect game like this. the solution to the variance and randomness is to buy more cards build more decks and or play more games. how much time do you want to loop in a game like that is what it comes down to.
says the person who has no idea how to calculate variance. what you said works in a card game where everyone pulls from the same deck. yes variance your thinking of applies. in a game where each person pulls from a tailored deck. you end up with a rock paper scissors type variance. where each one excludes the other from winning.
except in this game you have metas that makes it more like a 7 way exclusion. think rock paper scissors shotgun bomb nuke supernova
if someone is playing with nuke. and starts facing nothing but supernova. thats not natural variance is it
The MM is rigged. There are youtube videos about it. Yes.
It is rigged. Go watch YouTube videos about it.
Lol its on youtube it must be true.....
Stop talking and go watch the video. If you want proof, it's there, or you can run your mouth like you are now and be proved wrong. I wonder what it would take to convince you or if you're too ignorant to learn anything.
I have more than 2.000 hours in this game, yeah show me the proof, that this game is rigged
You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Both in Arena and IRL. Go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play something mindless, like Pokemon.
Go to YouTube and type in MtG Arena rigged and go look. This isn't hard.
Oh okay, thanks.
I found a video that proved that MtG Arena wasn't rigged. I'm glad we got that cleared up!
No, you didn't because it doesn't exist. Do you want the link to show you it's rigged, or are you going to continue to run your mouth? Which is it?
