Rare draft or draft to win?
I want to win, but 15 rares and Mythics coming my way was just to good to pass up. I now have worst pile I have ever cobbled together. Wish me luck.
(Good news is shuffler is rigged so when I lose it's not really my fault)

Don't draft for cards, it's extremely expensive. Draft to play if you like that game mode. 3000 gems is what, 5 or 10 packs? And you're wasting it on 3 packs plus maybe 1-3 more if you get lucky enough to not brick with a perfectly crafted deck?

if you don't know the cards well and got the token for free, then sure just go all rare mythic to make it worth your while because you probably won't win anyway if you don't know what to build for.

Draft packs have 15 cards and a chance for up to two rare or mythic cards per pack, and it is the only way to get gems for free players.

Not everyone can afford to buy gems, some people earn them the hard way.

When I draft I pick the best cards until the 3rd round and then I decide on a color. There have been times when I have drafted up to 10 rares in one match.
Golden packs made buying packs comprable to casual draft playing. I only do drafts with draft tokens. Its about 50/50 that I get enough gems to play the set for free

The shuffler that you think is rigged isnt actually rigged in drafts. its only in Best of 1 constructed. Where most of the players play. If u get bad match ups its due to RNG and limited player pool and nothing else. Goodluck

Premium draft is 1500 gems/10k gold, Sealed is 2000 gems, quick draft is 750 gems/ 5000 gold. Where the hell did you get 3000 gems from? Who told u that?

Quick draft is 750 gems, with which you could purchase 3.75 packs.
For that you get 3 15 card draft packs, 1 or 2 normal packs, and a minimum of 50 gems back.
Any competent drafter should be able to rare draft and pick up half a dozen R/M in the draft part and still average 3+ wins.
This is the best way to build a collection for a F2P player.

The other drafts cost 1500 gems (not 3000), and rare drafting is not a good option in those, so you are correct there.
My perspective is using gold for drafts, not gems btw

Been thinking about this. Its down to the player. Lets say you only like constructed. However you're given draft tokens through mastery pass. You might as well join a draft, hold the alt keydown and cherry pick high value cards u dont own. Then when its time to play resign and u get another pack and 50 gems for your trouble. Its better than leaving the token to rot.

You can do both at the same time. One or two rares probably only lowers your winning chances by like 1-5%. Obviously if you get 5-10 rares you're not gonna play, it will have a much bigger effect, possibly even forcing you to splash for a third color due to lack of playables. But then you are getting a huge amount of rares to compensate.

Even if your deck is a mess, you can still get lucky and get 3 wins a lot of times. Just like you can get unlucky and get 1 or 2 with a great deck. Just remember to draft a lot of cheap spells. A deck with a lot of early plays always has a chance in limited even if the card quality is low.

Sure. I tend to grab the rare mythic special guest card when i see it. But normally when i draft its to win and get my 1500 gems back or more.
