Rage Quiting is a problem?
i have found a lot of players that are quitting when they detect they will certainly loose why they dont receive any punishment?

Conceding is not rage quitting. If you have put your opponent in an unwinnable position, you win. Why would you want them to waste both your time and theirs playing out the rest of the game if the winner/loser have already been determined?

Why classify it as rage quitting?

To my mind it's only rage quitting when they feel the need to abuse the timer when they are certain they're not going to win.

Otherwise a concession is just that: An acknowledgement that you've progressed your game to the point where they cannot win.
It's always been the way in mtg that a player will usually concede when they feel a game is unwinnable. It's actually quite rare that a game will come down to the finishing blow, because one of the players will usually have conceded before that point. It's been that way since long before Arena existed & shouldn't necessarily be read as a rage quit.

One thing I have noticed is that the nature of arena does encourage early concessions (unless you're playing ranked). Far better to get out of a game you don't want to play & find one that you do want to play, especially since finding a new game is very quick and easy.

I don't see it as rage quitting, & I don't believe it's anything that requires punishment: If a player is in a game they don't want to be in, they should be able to leave that game without being penalised for it.
Do you want an option for an AI bot to take over when they concede?
In the case of someone going infinite and you have no possible outs or responses, I'd consider it more rude not to concede. There are still reasons, like not knowing the combo and seeing how it plays out or for a self mill-combo, seeing the rest of he opponents deck so you can sideboard better for game 2. I'm not going to waste either of our time by making you click through your combo 20 times when I'm tapped out and you win before my next turn though.

If I can't resign when I've realised I'm in an unwinnable position, I just won't play. I'm not here to sacrifice my time for your ego.
If by 'rage quitting' you mean roping to the limit, I agree there should be some punishment for that.

You obviously never played a RL MTG Qualifier.

After the first round you'll be thankfull for anyone twrowing in the towel midgame so you can have a longer break in between games.

The sooner your opponent concedes, the better. No one ever complained in a RL tournament.

I second this

But you are winning. You get the win. If they're in an unwinable position why continue wasting time? Conceding is not rage quitting, they are awarding you a win.

The reason you cant grasp why stretching a game out is considered rude is, unfortunately, because your parents forgot to teach you manners.

It's astonishing how some posters continuosly attack roping while its neither the topics post nor has anyone in this thread condoned roping.

Maybe ChatGpt has already taken over the Steam forums....

Punishment for what? you get your win, they get nothing.

Is it in reaction to a type of spell you've played? Might be a sign the people that play for fun aren't having any amount of fun.
