Winning with a 40/40 Hydra, or multiple Terror of the Peaks triggers just makes me happy.
Those kind of brewed decks are the best. The lows don't feel too low because you already knew it probably wouldn't do well often, but man the highs are super high when it comes together.
the amount or sore losers and sore winners in most online games is silly. the amount of toxic players is really out of hand and it just spreads endlessly like a infection.
not saying everyone is like that, but a majority are. cannot take a loss without getting upset cannot take a win gracefully. and I will be honest I have thrown away the win in ranked matches because I liked what the opponent was playing/doing
playing for the fun of it is a lost art.
Same.
MTG is super fun. MTGA is the least fun game.
I understand the people complaining about grinding in this game, even though "grinding" is literally just playing the game, because this game and the decks like board wipe spam etc. make this a CHORE to play, even if you win against said deck, it's just an unbelievably boring dull waste of time where you do the same thing over and over until someone runs out of a resource, or you just lose because you are playing against aggro red (which has gotten unbelievably buffed up with the latest expansion) or other decks designed to prevent an actual game from happening.
This is even more true because the quest system will be of colors you don't have, making you play a weak deck to complete, that you likely didn't spend wildcards on.
And then the people on the forums complain about people that don't like their fresh off the internet copy-pasted deck and get offended that others want to, you know, actually play magic, when they want to play MTG, and not play non-games.
I sometimes play games back to back despite having finished weeklies and dailies. I'm a timeless rat though, hard to justify playing that format for anything other than just fun.
It's not real fun playing against someone trying to complete a daily quest with no win conditions in their deck.
Playing ranked makes the grind take longer by causing your win rate to drop by matching you to tougher decks the higher you climb. Enjoy the extended losing streaks that will spill over into the non-ranked arena because you climbed higher than gold in standard ranked.
The only way you can see 66.6% of the mythic cards in this set, is to single the bonus sheets out in your deck filter.
The amount of packs you have to open is insane. I'm sitting at 90 packs and 93% complete with the otj set. Even if it says in your profile that the collection is 100% finished you may be missing half the mythics from the set and not even realize it.
I can't think of a more confusing way of presenting a new set.... an invisible standard section.
