Problem updating data: help?

I've downloaded Magic a dozen of times now, and when I boot the game up it displays a message saying there was an error updating my data in the game, and that I should check my internet connection and try again, but the problem is that my internet connection is fine, and I've even validated that the files are installed correctly.

Try using the free Revo Uninstaller to clean uninstall and remove registry entries before reinstalling.

Another suggestion that has worked for some: Change your device name or name of the PC to not use characters outside the English alphabet.
