Network Error: Help

I've been trying to get in the game since yesterday, but after what seems like a new update, I can't get in. It keeps saying something along the lines of "Network Error". I've tried looking it up, but nothing is working. Can someone help me, please? Does anybody else currently have this problem?

Game is down for scheduled maintenance currently (although where there is any mention of this "schedule", I have no idea).
I guess they broke something with the patch the other day and are trying to fix it.

They should have given you a link right on the screen to click on to tell you what was up

Yeah - it is the "scheduled" part I have an issue with. There was no notification of any downtime today, so I believe calling it scheduled maintenance is just BS, especially considering further down the status page it shows:

only thing we can be mad at is they said 2 hours & its now been 2 & a half.
