Came back after 4 years, all my collection is gone?!?

So I played MTGA in open beta like in 2018, stopped like late 2019. Came back, logged in with my old username and password, check my collection, it was empty?

Did Wizards make a cleanup of old accounts not being logged in?

Really sad, since I had a nice little collection and quite a few resources left.

As was widely discussed at the time, there was a wipe when the game released. People only got bought gems back. (If you bought X gems in open beta, you started the release with X gems.) This is how most collectable card game handled open beta.

OH I see makes sense. I didn't buy any gems, just earned ingame stuff. When did the release happen exactly, what month 2020?

PC release was Sept 2019.

As I recall while the accounts got wiped after beta we were issued a few alt art cards as a "compensation" for our participation. In addition there was the package given to every new account that was also given to us as part of the reset. NO cards at all? That sounds odd.

I mean I have some cards but not nearly the collection I had. I got lots of free packs from expansions at the login, but there are mythic cards I knew I had that are gone. But it makes sense if there was a wipe. Thanks! :)

All things considered, those old cards would be obsolete and outclassed by countless new sets (assuming they're still legal).
