how to unlock Brawl
I beat every color challenge, and am at like level 3, but Brawl is still locked

There should be blue New Player Experience quests on your home screen that you have to complete to unlock all modes. You can skip all this via Options -> Account -> Unlock Play Modes. I posted some other advice here:
