When there weren't Mythic packs for 1300 coins if you had all the rares from a set there was no other way other than wild cards to get the rest of the Mythic cards you missed. If you bought a pack you would get 20 Gems. The economy of this game is absurd.
Imagine pricing the whole game for 5000$ in Steam, that is how much their Gem economy says it is worth.
It doesn't feel that it adds up to anything if you ask me.
