why am I going against hellque?
I'm playing a non hellque commander and they are giving me baral to play against.

Uh no thank you I thought baral was in his own little que that no one wanted to play against

Do you believe balmor is in hell q? Because I've played against baral a fair bit when playing balmor.

you're clearly trolling me if you're telling me hellque doesn't exist.

They literally announced they are changing how match making works
Lord Tony Feb 3, 2024 @ 7:12am
they won't ban golos because of hellque they won't ban kinnan because of hellque.

You're telling me a specific matchmaking is a "conspiracy theory" when it's literally a number change on a line of code that pairs baral into hellque?

Literally all they do is put a number next to baral and it sends it to hellque.

That's it

This isn't a crazy conspiracy theory that is impossible to happen

Did some posts get deleted or are you arguing with yourself?

Okay so I changed one of my random tier 3 commanders to golos

here is what I'm getting for opponents

light paws
light paws
tergrid
kenrith
kinnan
golos
baral

it's not a "conspiracy theory" you all can test this out yourself when you switch your commander to golos. To tell me I'm "crazy" for saying high tier commanders only go against high tier commanders is absurd.

These are commanders I do not go against in my tier 3 deck.

This thing still going lol

well you think it doesnt exist when it does

Interestingly I only recall facing Golos when I deliberately played bad decks for maximizing my fun rather than trying to win. When I played Kenrith or something similar all I faced were Muxus gobos, and various elves/tribal builds. I don't know that the Hell Queue does or doesn't exist, but it might just be your personal hell. Did you do something bad to WoTC, Tony?

you play brawl, select your commander as golos and watch as you go against other opponents with equally sweaty commanders.

To suggest this is a "crazy conspiracy theory" is absurd you can see the results yourself.

From where I'm sitting, it's looking an awful lot like a skill issue to me.

Yep. Most of the time the matchmaker is able to find you a match against a similar-tiered commander. That is not evidence of a separate queue.

You're the only one using those words, but it certainly would not be absurd to say that you're misinterpreting the information you've gathered. You are assuming that since most of the time you get paired with similar-tiered commanders it therefor must be inherently the case that commanders in each tier are separated into their own unique queue; That does not follow logically, as there are other options that would also show the same result (ie. a single queue that prioritizes commander-tier as the top match-making factor).
Lord Tony Feb 5, 2024 @ 9:12am
how is that not "hellque"

they call it hellque because it's a que of only sweaty commanders

hence the term hellque
