wotc lost 1000+ employees and suffered huge loses entering this year.
they are now doing the typical business response of squeezing money out of the remaining players.
ffs i ran a 13 mana pirate deck in quick draft and drew every land after 3 straight wins.
the game is a literal scam at this point so stop spending money and report it to the ftc

Never hurts to know how to play... give it a shot!

obviously you are one of them dumb$hit, im not talking about arena beta stupid
It's important to keep in mind that MTG:Arena is not MTG: Online or Magic : The Gathering.
Instead Magic : Arena is an online gambling simulator. Where they actively find ways to make opening packs worse. So you have to open and purchase more. It's worse then any other MTG variant as well as more then twice as monetized. Pay for event entry, Pay for Product, Pay for Pets, Pay for Emotes, Pay for Battle-Pass, Pay for drafts, Pay for Avatars, Pay for Art-Styles and borders, Pay for Sleeves. It's like they needed to make 50% more money off all existing mediums, And they were like what better way then to over monetize our Magic products and start making them about why you should buy this or that product,
Rather then why you should play the game in the first place.
It's pretty bad that the best thing from WotC was them licensing usage rights for D&D IP so Larian Studios could make Baldurs Gate 3.
It's a free-to-play game, the employees have to make money somehow. Everything in the game that can be bought with real money can be obtained for free (spending IRL money will just get you things quicker). How else do you expect a free game to make money?
