You are correct, OP. MTG has fallen far, as has much of our culture. Weaponized Identity politics, gender ideology, ESG/DEI funding/lobbyists, and a boring, algorithmic, repetitively uninspired game. I rarely even hop on to knock out dailies anymore, and when I do, I'll quit a game I'm winning if I know I just finished my dailies. Enjoy spending your hard-earned cash, kids and shills. Times are probably going to be getting harder soon.

I do think its a bit of a shame that the most convenient way to play arguably the greatest card game ever is owned by a parent company that pushes so many mobile game monetisation tricks on the Arena client.

And recently cut so many people actually working on this game surely it has to affect the quality of the product and reliability of the client eventually.

As for people who are a bit longer in the tooth who can remember the several times previous iterations of MTG that are no longer available on steam.

One always has the certain uneasiness that they could just pull the plug at any time again and that all money spent on digital cards would be lost completely.

If you are paying that much for ones that are not serialized XXX out of 100, You've lost the game.
