Why? Literally use any of the hundreds of counterspells and removal spells, and bounce spells or gain control of it or exile it, just remove every other creature they play so that the mana means nothing?? It's a single creature and if you can't deal with it, you need to seriously recraft your decks.

Oh look, its one of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who has so much brain damage they think everything can be answered by more removal because obviously cards that get made dont reflect the limit of what the designers consider to be acceptable. Do us all a favor and die since thinking is too much work for you to do in life
why play the game at all if your answer is removal to anything ?

mythweaver poq is garbage
not indestructible or hexproof
not even flying or trample
can use throwaway 1/1s to block it consistently or use literally any creature removal spell

i don't get it
removal is important to any build
just finding the right balance of removals to non-removals is important too
there's too many cards -- especially non-creatures -- that turn into standalone win conditions if the opponent doesn't have any removal options for them
that all being said my favorite removal spell is doomskar because it's a cheap consistent AOE

mythweaver poq though? i'll lend it hagra mauling/broodpit option instead of using it as a double-sided land and that's too easy

admittedly mythweaver poq is probably really good synergy in a landfall build with scute swarm etc however as a standalone card no thanks

What? Every creature can be answered by more removal. EVERY CREATURE. Poq doesn't even have hexproof, or indestructible or trample, so you can endlessly block it with tokens of any kind, I usually find that ascended animist tokens eventually grow large than poq
Yeah Poq is absurd. He's basically the best ramp spell in the game. And that's if you're only running mana lands. If you're also running lands with abilities on top of that, he becomes absolutely absurd. Genuinely, he'd be OP if he was a 0/1 that automatically dies if he attacks or blocks.

How does Reassembling Skeleton matter against a ramp spell that doubles your lands?

Until they give Mythweaver flying or trample skellies gonna stand in front of it every turn, you really read too much into my comment either way was pretty much meant to be a joke

It being a creature is the balancing factor, it actively makes the card weaker. That was my point.

Finale of Devastation, Nissa, Craterhoof, these are just some of the countless ways you can give Poq trample. I've also seen him at over 50/50, so I'd say you're kinda underestimating how big he gets. If you pair him with Ashaya he gets really silly, and the Khans fetch lands pushed him even more over the top.

I'd say he's definitely a new staple in any green deck that cares about ramp. Gives you ramp out of nowhere and is a pretty decent win con by itself.

You can chump block that for days kill it or counter it. The only neat thing about that card is that it duplicates fetches to really exploit "When a Land enters the battlefield" triggers, But their are more powerful things in pretty much every format you could be doing for 4 mana then putting it into something that does not have haste or a way to protect itself or trample or doublestrike or phasing or shroud or ward or a "When this creature declares an attack" interact with your opponent or your own board state trigger.

If your not following the meta of 20 cards that will work towards winning you the game 8-12 Removal/Burn/Counter spells and 4-8 cantrips and 20-24 lands that's on you.

So, the meta's game plan is to lose to mulligan resolution 85% of the time? Because that's the math on 24 lands with 12 removal spells in deck.
Powercreep happens. Green was due for a good commander to keep up with the times. And green has been getting some good answers in general to commanders like rusko and nicol bolas making those matchups interesting. I welcome the variety.

In the inferior formats, there's more stuff you'll need to remove other than just this 1 creature. You're not going to blow up that glissa sunslayer because maybe Poq will be played next turn?

Dude you are playing a format with insanely powerful cards, what do you expect.
Also there are so many removals in the game, just learn how to use them?
