Steam Deck - is there a confortable way to play without touch screen?

I played Slay the Spire with a normal controller effortlessly but controller seems to do nothing on magic arena. Touch screen works fine but it is awkward to hold the console and just use the touch screen.

Is there a controller scheme I can download or something? Thanks

The very first community profile works well. MtG:A on Deck it has 165k hours played and 21 upvotes. it uses the track pad and triggers for most things.
