arena series counterspell in historic

so i wish i saved a screen shot but legit just got done playing a ranked game in historic and my opponent was playing a counter spell duck and cover deck and they casted an arena series counterspell and im like wtf becuse counterspell is banned in historic so was the person cheating,was it a bot or dose arena just have a diffrent version of counterspell other than the strix one?

if it had the arena symbol instead of a typical set chances are it probably was counterspell but with its text altered? Idk if counterspell ever got one but I do know arena variants of actual cards sometimes do that and if thats the case maybe thats why its not banned.

Is there a card that can create that counterspell that it's drafted from a spellbook? I've seen demonic tutor, lightning bolt and others in the past being played but they were drafted from another cards spellbook

but the only conterspell i can fined is the strix version even looking trough the hidden cards so its just weaird tbh

In specific, Keys to the Archive creates it and a number of other cards, you can't obtain otherwise. The balancer is that it is pretty hard to predict what will be of use from the Keys.

99% chance it was from Key to the Archive.

Same thing as these mofos stealing your cards every turn. They'll do anything to not use their actual cards.
