Today a 1-2 mana cards that gives 2-3 habilities makes a huge difference against the one with a turn behind.
You will have streaks of being on the play or on the draw - but because it is negatively impacting, our brains are conditioned to notice the bad streaks more.
That's not true because I too go 2nd 80% of the time 100% of the time. So if you add my numbers to that guys numbers we are probably going 2nd around 169% of time. We are basically Arena Jesus, going 2nd so you don't have to.
Why do you care though? Drawing a card has a much larger impact on win rate than going first. Only aggro decks want to go first. Everyone else would prefer 2nd, but begrudgingly accept 1st despite it being a disadvantage.
I'll put it this way. The basic math of the game tells you that going first is less advantageous than every single one of the lands in your deck coming into play untapped. And if you're familiar with that math, you'd also know the extremely tiny fractions of a percentage point we're talking about comparing the perfect manabase to just tossing in guildgates and other tapped duals and calling it good.
Going first is a huge advantage.

Unistalled the game.
