Unable to submit deck : Friendly challenge
There are tons of threads out there already on Reddit about this issue BUT I need to vent my frustrations somewhere. Every time my friend and I try to play now one of us gets the Unable to Submit Deck connection error. We've tried everything.

I went to Wizards to submit a bug report and behold it has been reported and upvoted almost 600 times already. I'm so frustrated that this is even happening. We used to have so much fun on this game and now we can't even play it unless we are in the same room with our physical cards.


edit: This thread is getting more attention that I expected and I'm happy about that. So far the best way to "fix" this issue is to do your part and go to WoTC and submit a bug report. You can also upvote the existing bug reports for this issue on their support portal.

The good news (such as it is) is that they might fix it one day, They do get around to things once enough voices shout at them about it. To be honest though that is usually a heavy amount.

I really hope so. When MTGArena came out it was a big deal for me and my buddies. I was living on the other side of the world but we still got to play magic.

That was how I felt about MTGO when IT came out. Sadly most of those friends who are in isolated places stopped playing on it and I lost touch with many of them. But Arena is certainly a possibility but as you mentioned, the more voices WOTC hears the better with regards to things we want/need,

It makes tournament play next to impossible. Wizards needs to fix this asap.

They shouldn't be dragging it out like this though. Their client is worse than Riot. When you can't play the game then there is really no reason to have installed. It just becomes a damn storage blocker.

Just tried again and guess what? Still can't play. Unable TO SUBMIT DECK! This is outrageous. The most outrageous thing is that you can't even contact anyone about this. Like who's job is it to make sure this works?!

It would allow my friend and I 1 game before the error would start. Now, though, we can't even get 1 game in so we've just uninstalled for the time being.

I remember reading a similar statement about 4 years ago about this very same issue.

Yeah well, the more things change... :p Otoh we have favorited lands (one of my personal wishes) and styles and some other bugs have occasionally gotten fixed or upgraded. WOTC is a leviathan. They move slowly and try to do large things.

There is a difference between slowly and not at all. This has been a thing as far back as Arena has been a thing. I do not think there is a fix being worked on at all tbh.

Note what I said about that in my first post. They don't fix things unless enough noise is made (cf mtgo.)
