cannot connect to servers

i downloaded MTG Arena when it came out on Steam a few days ago, was able to make an account but every time i've tried to play the screen just goes black for 5 minutes then says it can't connect to the servers... i trouble-shooted nearly everything i could and MTG support was basically no help... i also can't find anywhere to contact Steam about these issues so... any ideas/suggestions please?

Same problem. I used to play it outside of Steam, but since it's gone live on Steam, it's been impossible to connect.

in another moment, other error:
'there was a problem communicating with the server'

* what i already did:
- restart my computer
- flushdns, release, renew, netsh..
- disable firewall
- repair the game, even though I installed it for the first time now.
- check the server status - all ok
- restart my computer again

and the error persists.

I just got into the game, I don't have it through Steam though but got in fine

Go into the game files and run it as administrator. The standalone "MTGALauncher" was the best choice for this but I don't think it's in the steam install.
