Wipe the board, I quit the game.
This is one of those mechanics that was introduced a few updates ago, and every player and their mother has jumped on it. The first six rounds, they do not cast anything and then they play that one card that wipes everything and they start casting.

Sometimes, they will cast one or two creatures, to keep up appearances.

Sorry folks. You might like it.. I think it's unimaginative.. you play with yourself then.

Not seen them in Arena until a few weeks ago. It's gotten mad. All playing the exact same tactic.

Try to play control without a board wipe. You'll understand the other side of the coin.

Seriously though, that's nothing.. There's decks that are all sweepers with no win condition.

One creature in play = Boardwipe.

That's control for you, the trick is learning how to put just enough pressure in play to make the opponent board wipe but you still have follow ups afterwards. They're typically all 5+ mana spells so they can't do much else in the same turn unless its super late game. That essentially lets you resolve other cards you didn't over commit with, ideally.

I do not. Too many combos that ruin the game. Like the endless mill ♥♥♥♥.. Toxic is getting at its limit.. Much of it is actually too much work to play as a cardgame anymore. I have my fourth gen cards and Ice age at home.. that's still a lot of fun.. but online.. only the most strictly regulated.

Play explorer or historic theres significantly less mill and I haven't seen any toxic except for the land that makes 1/1s in either format.

To make it worse, the game is rigged so people will draw answers and you'll only get matched up with counter decks.

I don't usually leave after the first one, I usually wait until the third. Unless they're also running Oscification and Cathar, then I just give it to them.

I mean there's only depopulate, sunfall, farewell, and Expel the Interlopers in standard atm. Is there one I'm forgetting?

I find it funny though that Streamers talk about the Werefox Bodyguard like it's another Cathar, when it's obviously meant to sweep in and save your cards.

It's insane the amount of hoops you would have to jump through to land on the game only being rigged against you. Wouldn't you have to be the counter deck the other half of the time?

It's hard to imagine the mind set behind refusing to better yourself and instead finding any excuse you can to blame your short comings on. My durdle deck played into a board wipe UNFAIR, counter spell I QUIT, mill GG,! Imagine getting so bent out of shape over a card game for children.

I can live with one or two boardwipe, but removal pile are boring af.

Nev's Disk was board wiping in the mid 90's.
