Apart from all your other points being nonsense/your own fault
how is this in any way different from paper?
Blue screens are guaranteed to be either a hardware problem, a driver error, or a BIOS problem. Nothing to do with the game client - so go fix your cr@ppy PC before complaining.
I actually figured out what it was. The game ran an older video card with 4gb out of video memory and caused BSODs if you lost track of time and played too long.
edit: as for the client , YEP 1000% it is garbo. I didn't even get nitpicky into the details of how the game constantly likes to miss click or use the wrong color mana.
I disagree that it has an rng issue, most algorithms are created on zero card templates.
If you know what your getting into with THIS version of magic in a 'gacha' format and understand that, then you are fine, because you can play the game free.
Understand the resources in the game and what not to use. Never use your gems.
BUT be real about the experience.
Old time players understand that this is or never was the old time magic the gathering game they learned in schools and colleges. It has always had a balanced archetype, of lands, synergy and mechanics, but a game that was NEVER balanced, ever.
This game was always about OP creative skies the limit card creations.
It is about how you deal with aggro, who controls the middle the fastest getting their OP metas out the fastest and rage quits, that is their version of Marvel Snap, their quick way of not wasting your time. Endless counters and patience.
Where I will agree with this post is that this is BRUTAL to new players. There is no mode, not even bot selecting cards, where you have any chance if you are new.
That I will agree is an issue for the game. Novice and even players who don't take it seriously should have a mode to play earning those resources without expert players roasting them. You look at from a business standpoint. They want those players to stay, to buy.
That has to improve.
However, there is the truth or the lie. New players go straight to the 7 million content creators showing them busted decks to get instant wins. The novice becomes the bully and they become the instant brutal novice against the novice.
That was never Magic the Gatherings intent to do. This is about money, plain and simple.
That is the truth, so no need to call people 13 year olds to defend a game that does not need defending. They will continue to throw out busted mechanics for sales and then ban later. Peace
