why are there still not multiplayer formats

this game has been out since what, late 2017? and there still isnt any way to play 4 player matches? it's ridiculous that the dotp games had more to offer than this nightmare does.

My guess. To keep MTGO relevant and for Paper players to have commander that they can brag about. Imagine if MTGA had every card set, every mode of play, commander, pauper, two headed giant, modern, legacy. FFS it might kill MTGO and really diminish papers community as well.

I don't really know if that last part is true - the experience of playing with your own cards really can't be replicated. Much more fun to work on decks and use them in person imho.

as far as mtgo goes, why does it matter? it is so ass-old it seriously needs a successor, and its insane that there hasn't been one yet.

The problem. MTGO offers things besides more cards and play modes over MTGA. imo both clients need to be replaced. We need a new client with the QoL, free to play mastery menchanics of MTGA and the trading, tix system of MTGO. Unfortunately to get this we will all have to start from 0 collecting cards all over again.

The servers can barely handle 2 person duels, not to mention when you play vs somebody that appears to have dial up because they're outside of MTG's servers.
