Stuck on Authentication

I just picked the game up and as soon as it starts an "Authenticating User.." window comes up, never completes or ends... Ive tried searching the other discussions and google, a similar but not the same issue comes up about failing to authenticate but the only ones about being stuck on that window go unanswered (on their website I might add, not here)

If anyone has a solution, it would be much appreciated.. if they dont, take it as a tip to save your 3$ or CS:GO skins like I sold if you were considering it... as I know its not just a problem for me and its a small dev team so they dont answer many people apparently.

Have you tried restarting your game and/or Steam?

And I have to say this too: The Devs always try to help out new/old users of Minimum ,and they do what they can to get things resolved.

Im just going based off their own words tbh, I just read a couple posts from them saying they are a small team and that A they dont answer questions extremely quick and B these steam forums are the slowest way to get a response from them

No I havent tried restarting my steam but I did try the game multiple times. It only has a connect with steam button if you cancel and retry without restarting the game and it just repeats the same window.

Depending on the protection software you have it might block the game from accessing its servers, as it did with in the beginning with me (Comodo here). Alt-Tab and check for any alerts. There also was a stupid Windows alert window after it times out (no, you cant see it ingame) and after acknowledging it the game will disconnect properly - I guess they still haven't fixed that one.

Nah there were no alert windows up, I restarted steam just now and that didnt work either.. Im pretty sure most steam games dont trigger that anyways since steam has access.

So still out of ideas, I read one guy talking about having to make an account on their website or something.. but he was saying he had done that and still had the issue Im having, got no response on their websites forums.

What do you mean a timeout message, there was no alert of any kind after some 3-5 minutes of waiting, having alt tabbed also.

(the thread I talked about going unanswered above said he waited over 100 minutes for it and it never finished)

run the game with the launch option "-unsuppress=devhttprequest"

Then after waiting for it to authenticate for a while, close the game, and find your log file, its usually in My Documents/My Games/Minimum/MinGame/Logs/

Called 'launch' or 'launch.log'

then go here and fill out the form:

Under 'file attachment' include your log file. Then send the email.
While it could be a bug we need to fix, its probably some configuration issue with your account. Hopefully the Customer Service team will get back to you promptly with a fix

I mean a standard Windows alert message with a simple OK acknowledge button on it or somesuch. If you didnt see such a window then you need a solution different from the one I described.

: / it was 3 bucks and it reminded me of third person mode on CoD:MW2 (last one I picked up, just enjoyed that mode) Im not sure I feel like doing all that to maybe come up with a fix, Im surprised this hasnt been patched somehow because I did see other people bring it up like:

BTW do people actually need to make an account on your website and link it to steam to play the game? That isnt mentioned clearly enough if so, Im pretty sure there should be a bubble like when it warns you about third party DRM and such if that is the case.

The game is supposed to auto-recognize that you don't have an mber account, and lead you through the process in-game of setting one up. There is obviously some kind of connection/protocol issue preventing it from getting to that point.

being stuck at the 'authenticating' screen could be caused by a number of issues. From steams web api server not responding to Mber encountering a REST error. I won't know for sure without a log file.

How do I do that, I tried right clicking in the library and nothing appeared to offer that option.
