End Game Questions
I rang the bell to summon everyone to make me the divine one, but I'm wondering if I should have waited. Is the game over after I finish whatever quest comes after becomming divine one? There are still areas I have not explored and quests I have not completed. I want to be able to do go back to them. Another thing, is a guide I was reading, it says the final boss is glitched and you can't use spells or else it will freeze. Is that still true or has it been fixed or patched?

Thanks so much for putting up with my questions. I really want to get the most out of my first playthrough;)

You will need to reload a save from before hitting the gong to complete any unfinished quests or explore any areas you had not been to yet. Once the Blessing Ceremony is performed and you end up in the wastelands, you are there until the end of the game.

I believe the problem some people had with the final boss is fixed in the download version (I have not seen it reported, anyway). It wasn't a question of using spells at all (or summons/traps), but just for the final killing blow.

I know this is an old topic (from 2013) but I had wondered if the Steam version fixed that no-magic bug within the Demon's fortress. As I didn't want to possibly have to replay the whole demon fortress again, I didn't use any magic inside. I did however give myself two scorpion companions (with aura of command) to help me with the fighting BEFORE I entered the fortress. It all went well - the game did not freeze, I got the "right" cutscene ending.

That said, the walkthrough from GameBanshee did not mention anything about not using magic within the demon fortress. But other walkthroughs warned against using magic. So on my next walkthrough, I'm going to use magic and see what happens.

It's been a while but I don't remember having any problems. I'm a heavy magic user so I think something would have gone wrong if there was still a bug. Enjoy!
