Resolution lower than 1080p causes issues
I've now ran into a new issue aside from my original screen flickering when moving about, and darkening along with pixelated lines overlaying textures. Now playing at a resolution NOT 1920x1080 causes the HP and MANA, well, the bottom half of the screen is cutt off, along with the top and sides.

Bars on the side? that's not what I'm refering to.

Ugh... I know theres always issues when playing older games, but dammit! There are no good RPG's on PC anymore. Until Original Sin is fully released, I must. Play. This. Game!

Now... It'll be good to mention that I am indeed playing on a 32" HDTV. I just can't be bothered to buy a monitor. Could this be a scaling issue of some sort, I wonder...

Sounds like it. Check your graphics driver settings and see if there is an option to scale or stretch non-native resolutions.

Wish you'd add me since you seem to be the Larian Divinity Almighty Wizard of Everything Divinity lol

Well, as of now I am unfortunately without my GPU as it did fry a few months back, and my new one should arrive sometime between tuesday and friday, and so currently using this onboard crap.

Now, as you know Raze, I've had that flicker and pixelated issue once before, and I remember saying something about it appearing randomly one day, as playing the game before there were no issues.

Yeah, I'm using a custom aspect ratio. Though all my other games that can run on this onboard currently have no scaling issues.

I swear, if it is my damn TV and I need to buy a bloody monitor, I will scream.

The game itself should support any resolution that your TV and graphics chip do.

The onboard graphics drivers should have scaling options, as well (and Win 8 has a scale interface option somewhere). I'm not sure why DD would have scaling problems, though, while other games are fine at lower than native resolutions.
Are the other games newer, and maybe DD is doing something different calling DirectX when switching resolutions? Or maybe it is a progressive vs interlaced resolution issue (assuming there are any interlaced resolution options even offed)?
What resolutions are you trying?

Did you try switching to software mode in the configuration program, or maybe browsing to the install folder, right clicking the div.exe file, selecting Properties and switching to the Compatibility tab? Maybe it will help if Windows treats the game slightly differently. Worth a shot anyway, while you are waiting for your replacement graphics card.

Even when I had my 6970 I had these flickering issues and somewhat pixelated lines? Hard to explain what those lines actually are. The flicker is the most noticeable, however. Only occurs when you move about, It's as if the game itself goes a few shades darker, with flickering. When inside builings/dungeons these issues are completely gone.

I have compatibility settings enabled. Disable display scaling, Disable desktop composition, Visual themes. I've checked/unchecked these, tried various compatibility modes, etc.. Still same issue.

I doubt getting my new GPU will fix anything, the game itself is old.. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I am gaming on a HDTV. This is the only game with this particular problem, and I've played older games before.

I have tried Software, and it seemed to fix a few things, but of course the screen tear is INSANE! Forcing v-sync whether the Intel tray, or through CCC or any other program, such as Dxtory? Still massive amounts of tear. Ahhhh! Such gems wanna give me such hard times...

I'd also like to add that when playing at lower resolutions the flicker and lines when moving about is slightly decreased. Though the fact that the HUD itself is cut in half at the bottom is an issue. Otherwise I'd play at something not 1920x1080.
