Suggestions of Games like this
Can someone please give me a suggestion of more games like this. by that I mean the art style, and the gameplay. Isometric RPGs with a big story, and combat similar to diablo. I am having a really hard time finding anything else like this

There are countless Diablo clones, even just here on Steam.
Divine Divinity is one of the better ones and in a lot of ways better than Diablo and DIablo II.
If you want some suggestions, you may want to try Nox from Westwood, Titan Quest, Throne of Darkness and Dungeon Siege.

But there are many more.

not a Diablo clone. its very different from Diablo in many way. 1 its not randomly generated its a static large open world, with some different underground levels.
all the items are out in the world, and you can see what NPCs have for sale and even steal them, as opposed to just having a screen with randomly generated content.

there are many other things, but mostly it comes down to feel. DD feels like an open ended quest with many things to do along the way, while diablo feels like a way to kill things and get stronger to kill more things

I mean Diablo clone in the broadest sense, like it's a realtime isometric rpg, but if you're bothered by me calling it a Diablo clone, feel free to ignore it. :)

The game's made by Larian Studios, so honestly almost any game made by them (except Divinity Dragon Commander)
Beyond Divinity is a direct sequel to Divine Divinity.
Then there's Divinity 2, which is a 3rd person action rpg, which honestly you can't really compare. (but still worth a try)
Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2 come closer to Divine Divinity, but they're turn-based rpgs.
Then there's Baldur's Gate 3, which is similar to Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2, but much more modern and content rich.

Don't go into Beyond Divinity thinking you're in for a faithful sequel.
At first, the artstyle and gameplay feel somewhat familiar, but soon enough it will annoy you with lots of soporific, story-wise irrelevant quests and ridiculous amounts of unsatisfactory grinding.
And I haven't even talked about the botched skill system and general lack of quality.

You're right, I did not enjoy Beyond Divinity at all.
If you liked Divine Divinity, Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is one of the best matches you could find. It has that classic RPG vibe with immersive storytelling, isometric exploration, and deep character customization. Plus, the D&D-based narrative and choices really let you shape your character’s journey. The Enhanced Edition updates make it run smoother on modern systems without losing that nostalgic feel. Perfect if you're looking for something with that same freedom and depth!

Sacred (2004) hits some similar vibes, it's more combat focused than Divine Divinity, but it has some elements in common, such as an expansive, but tightly designed open world that's just incredibily satisfying to explore and a strong sense of humour. The main differences i can think of are that DD has better dialogue and quests, while Sacred has a much more fun combat system and deeper character building.

So, we had a very old topic similar to this one and the conclusion was that there isn't anything quite like Divine Divinity. Other isometric RPGs are either on the Diablo side of things (real time action, but barely any story and world interactivity) or on the Bioware side (RPG world building and interactions, but slow combat and D&D rules).

My personal recommendations are the Eschalon series and Balrum. Both scratch that itch of a RPG adventure with quests and different NPCs and have a semi real time combat more akin to Diablo.

while looking at Balrum it recommended Exile Kingdoms. That actually looks really similar to the things i wanted. Have you played it?

I played the mobile version briefly and, honestly, I felt it was way too janky and lacked polish. It's built on an open source engine called Flare, which is fine by itself, but then the developer added a lot of stuff on top of it that doesn't blend too well with the core engine in my opinion. I don't know, it might be what you are looking for if you can overlook those aspects.

A bit late here, but nobody mentionned the little gem:

Look for official or community patches and a few vanilla-flavored mods, maybe.
