I need a store!

Ok so I don't want to provide spoilers, but I was fighting some tough monsters and I'm an archer. Upon finishing said monsters, my bow is broken. My backup bow is broken and a loot bow I found that is crap has 2 durability.

I go back to town and I am unable to repair my stuff! Some non-spoiler guidance would be very appreciated right now because I can't face-tank much at all right now.

Finding good equipment in this game is hard. That's why you have to never let your equipment get damaged very much. Always get the stuff repaired. Also you need the repair skill badly so you can repair it yourself. If I remember correctly bows are fairly common and you will just have to travel back to all the stores to find one. Even though they are more fun, archer is hard to play and mage is even harder. If you are new to the game you might want to start over with a swordsman. It would be somewhat easier.

Why can´t you repair things in the town.Just talk to a shopkeeper and select the repair option.
It can be very expencive so it is best to put as many point in the repairskill as possible and if you see an item that ad to repair hang on to it.Repair is not only good for repairing your equipment but you should also repair things before you sell it to get a better price.
Sword make the game easier .The swordexpertice skill increase damage,chance to hit and speed

The shopkeeper died and I was low level. I barely made it through to the next town. I had to sprint the whole way and died a few times trying to find a shop keeper. I was hoping someone could point me in the correct direction, but I ended up finding it.

Glad you found a solution. How did that shopkeeper die? I've never seen that happen :)

I'm pretty sure it was part of the story line which is why I was trying not to give/get spoilers, but it's a 20 year old game so doesn't really matter probably.
