I know right? Deadly Gift rank 2-3 (them Scorpion traps) . Each rank gives them 100 levels!! Pair it with Aura of Command (rank 1-2) and you can have them permanent as pets, following you around (instead of going randomly). Use it with combination of Survivor's Special Move (stealth) and now you are a stealthy dude, that can't be seen, lurking around having its pets do all the work for him. I even completed Iona's dungeon without unsheathing my weapon...:halloweener:

That was a bug; it was suppose to be 100 hit points per skill level. Since it wasn't changed right away, it showed up in so many guides and help topics that it became unfixable (ie that would have caused more problems than it solved).

It being too overpowered was one of the reasons i didn't even bothered using it.

I mean, what's the point, using cheap tactics destroys fun from the game, especially if you play it first time.

That's why I avoided Freeze on weapons (ignores target resistances, so always applies), though I was a fair bit into the Dark Forest before that showed up on a sword I would use.

Playing a warrior I wasn't using summons, though, so it wasn't really an issue (I did collect the 3 types of trap material, to maybe use at some point, but never did).
That said, a lot of people found it fun to play with the scorpion traps, or a useful fallback for difficult fights.
