I haven't but I doubt you'd do well playing with one even if it worked.There aren't enough buttons on the controller to cover every command in the game.

shame then ...

currently playin Victor Vran with steam pad, next Van Helsing, Grim Dawn, ...

I am effectively using 14 raw bindings - buttons, effectively and quick.
--------------------------------------
triggers = attacks
bumpers = consumables, utilities
grips = moves, combos, modes (shift)
Y, B = powers
X, A = basics
right touchpad (extra XYAB button pad) = target, weapon swap, map, cam turn, ...
(left) touchpad = more bindings, mouse control, D-pad, ...

One of the things that you won't be able to do with a controller is alchemy.Here you actually drag empty flasks into herbs/mushrooms in order to craft them.You also have to go through some menus to change between abilities and use potions.With a keyboard you bind them to F1-F12 I believe so you'd need lots of buttons in order to have that covered.I am only using 4 spells and 3 different kinds of potions so that already takes 7 buttons out.Also the inventory is not structured like diablo for instance.It doesn't have a grid and you can just move stuff around it freely without being restricted by that.

I'm pretty sure that Victor Vran also got a physical release on the PS4 so that leads me to believe that the games from the series are also made with controller gameplay in mind so I understand why you can play them with a controller.
