Josephina can blind you for many turns, so you cannot target her or her minions (which will appear as tiny specks of light moving, because you are blinded). If you stay there, she has powerful spells that can destroy you. So the trick is to run, teleport, or use a Shadow potion to evade about one minute and come back...
I am level 50 with over 125 in all resistances... and still get blinded.
If or when you can see/target her, you need to quickly distract her (with summons) or stun her (Frost, Freeze, or other tricks).
If you have some AOE effects, you can throw a few behind you as you evade away.
Then, when you come back, trying to either DPS her or stun her.
I played the game years ago and abused Hellspikes. I'm limiting myself to only leveing magic skills with books just for an added challenge (and to get the most out of my skill points).
The game just hits an inflection point around level 30 and once Large Runes start dropping or appearing in shops. Just adding a ton of health and mana to your gear is enough to let you spam restoration potions and survive anything.
