Character Creation?
So, does the game ask for male/female, boy/girl, or does it inject pronoun politics?

I don't want to support the usage of this obnoxious and grammatically confusing trend, so I won't be purchasing this game.
happy to help if you still want a farming game but dislike the newer ones having they/them some of the older ones for 3DS and DS are still pretty fun and might be a good alternative I personally still enjoy Trio of Towns and Sunshine Islands a lot despite them being older so they might be a worthwhile purchase if you haven't tried them yet or you could try out Rune Factory Marvelous has recently been releasing them on pc it's a little more action based with fighting bosses and skills but there is still farming, caring for animals, and marriage/children so it might be a fun option if you find normal farming games can get a little boring

Not sure why this post went off the rails like it did but the answer is no, the game does not use pronouns during the Character Creation part of the game.

Anyone can confirm as much if you were to watch any of the numerous YouTube Let’s Play videos for this game, One such video showing this would be:

https://www.youtube.com/live/0k_VlP3nmCg?si=1vi5jvVLToezlNgr

and can be confirmed at the 5:18 mark of it until the 6:03 mark of it when they complete creating the character.

But does the game refer to you as a "they" regardless of what you pick in character creation, like Violet said?

That's grammatically annoying enough even if it's not being done for "progressive" reasons.

hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you believe "they/them" pronouns is "pronoun politics" and wanna disregard games that have this then you won't want this game you don't get a gender choice you choose a model and then you are called "they/them" pronouns the whole game along with a lot of other characters in the game if allowing a 3rd option of "they/them" is brainwashing and ruins a game for you and you deny your children of it based on that solely you likely won't be introducing your children to any new farming games from any company Natsume was the last one lagging behind with allowing it and now they are so you're probably gonna have to adapt or find a different genre for your kids if you want them to play new games not from the outdated 2000s since any new farming games are most likely gonna have it

You only have to read you to realise how right he was.
Yes, it's politics, and yes, it's brainwashing children.
And your behaviour only proves us right.

For me, that alone is a reason to buy.
And I had just bought it, for console.

Because it's one thing for two women or two men to want to spend their lives together, which is completely right, and another completely different thing that.

Damn, your child could see an option in char creation that will corrupt it forever. It will end up in slums, muttering about pronouns while sticking needles of hard drugs into their veins. Really tragic what pronouns do to children.

In a way it's kind of heartening to see people get so upset about pronoun inclusion or exclusion. When the greatest danger to your child apparently isn't stuff like drugs or w/e but instead some word choices, we truly live in a world of first-world problems. Which is a good sign :)

Interesting take. I'd counter that anything you do to your child is brainwashing, since children are highly impressionable. You just want to brainwash them into your way of thinking, as most parents do.

Folks, stop bringing politics and personal viewpoints into the topic.

As a matter of fact, OP why don’t you close this topic altogether seeing as how it has been answered at this time.

OP brought it into the topic with the original post. Could've just asked if it has pronoun choices, but they chose to add "or does it inject pronoun politics?"

Yeah, I know but whatever their reasoning, it’s been answered and this topic should be closed. This place is not a political nor opinions forum other than when it relates to games themselves, which this topic has become.

"Grammatically confusing"? How tiny is your brain?

Do you really get confused with someone's pronouns? That's literally one of the first things we learn as children.
