I can't be certain but I believe that you might not have to feed pets/mounts. I have a fox and a horse who haven't run away after several days of only petting them. Still no clue about the out of reach sprites
And for the mounts.. yes, you have to feed all your animals. Sometimes when there's weed near your barn they eat it themselves.
They only eat from animal feed, grazing only improves mood
I'm not sure about the mount tbh.. I just accidentally observed my cow and my sheep eating the weed next to the barn 🤔
I could see mounts eating the weeds as well if called out using the Graze option. However I was only interested in knowing if this was the case after calling them out as a mount to begin with. Not sure if the programming logic that Graze utilizes in the game still works and kicks in if having whistled and called out any of our mounts without them having been called out using the Graze option to begin with?
Like maybe if they are standing idle waiting around to be ridden again, after waiting so long will they start eating the weeds on their own at some point? 🧐
