Heard quite a few people say its finally a Natsume game that can beat SoS.
So Marvelous does it and that's not a indie company ;) Quite alot of non-indie companies does it.
in what way is it better than SoS?
1h ingame and i'm positive:
--> The Grafic is cute and i like it alot
(honestly i'm not for the "baby artstyle" some of the series had).
--> No Nostaögia at this time but thats ok.
--> The animation feeling good
(not to slow or overacting).
--> The Character you play seems a bit naiv/dumb in the story conversations
(based on the (face)animation and the story acting)
--> The music is really lovely!
--> You can adjust the settings ingame not in the titlescreen.
--> You can customize your Character at the Beginning and after that ingame.
--> You can customize your Home.
I'm curious how it will be after the tutorial/story part.
I would honestly need therapy if I were handling their social media, and I worked in a customer facing call center for 3 years.
Well at present its way better than One World that's for sure. For one thing at least Natsume "Harvest Moon" sticks with the goddess and sprites and hasn't gone off track.
My fix to the annoyance is to suicide to end the day ...
Everything is cute and once I find a million stamina booting acorn fruit things, it will only be sort of meh.
I do have a gripe about the ledges and not being to jump around or off some of them. And the small map in areas you haven’t fully completed the story being greyed out. I get lost a lot lol! it’s fun though.
Tip: Just pick wild mushrooms and apples/fruit. I’ve been surviving off those and gifting them. Most areas have 1-2 trees and they give off 2-3 apples each. They fill stamina pretty well. The stamina is realistic for the long journey, after figuring out the apples thing I haven’t fainted.
It’s definitely different. And fun. There’s clearly more but so far I’m enjoying the open world part a lot. It’s one world but expanded and more 3D
No freezing or stuttering on my steam deck, and it doesn’t burn through the battery fast 🥳
