GZDoom Crash upon launch
For some reason the GZDoom launcher crashes everytime I launch the demo, from what I understand, it's when it detects my GPU, could it be because it's not enough powerful to run the demo ?

It's an Nvidia GT750M, quite the old potato laptop according to nowadays standard, but is it really a reason for GZDoom to crash everytime at launch ?

Hey there! try adding +vid_preferbackend 0 to the launch options, that could fix it.
And I'm saying that "could" fix it because that's a very old video card, in general current GZDoom games are more taxing, the engine has had plenty of upgrades and updates.

Heya, sorry for the very late response, hadn't had time to go back to this

So, for some unknown reason, GZDoom doesn't crash anymore at launch, though I can't play the demo as when I start a new game, GZDoom seems to encounter problems with some scripts not loading or not being found

Also, for some reasons, when I fiddle with the audio settings, the music stops and clicking on "restart the sound" brings me an error of some sort, relaunching the demo seems to get over this issue though.
By any chance are you trying to launch the game by other means than the Steam launcher?

Nope, been only launching it from steam, even back then GZDoom were straight up crashing at launch
I'm sorry to say this, but you'll probably have to wait for a future demo we have planned to see if the game will run properly on your PC, then again, your hardware is too old so I can't promise anything.

No problem, really looking forward what's coming next, a general upgrade of my hardware to today's standards is planned on my side, will hopefully be able to play that game at some point :)
