Is the performance AWFUL for anyone else?

UPDATE: I just enabled VSync and locked the frame rate to 60 FPS and the game runs much smoother. It seems the "Uncapped FPS" option is completely busted right now. I recommend avoiding it at all costs.

It's so weird... I have the frame rate uncapped and Vsync turned off, and my FPS counter shows I'm getting 90-100+ FPS, yet the gameplay itself "feels" like it's 40-50 FPS or below. It isn't even remotely smooth. I don't know if there's a serious "frame timing" issue or what, but it looks horrible in motion. There's also frequent stuttering when changing scenes.

The previous Madden games never ran super well on PC (especially with the Crowd quality jacked up), but this one is by far the worst to date in that regard.

And just in case you're wondering, my specs are fine: i7-10700k CPU, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3080 w/ latest Nvidia drivers, 1 TB NVMe SSD.

Absolutely trash I have a 3090, 32 GB Ram, High End i9. Its AWFUL I already requested a refund. Ill play it on my xbox series x.

Glad to hear I'm not alone. I'm perplexed as to why the performance feels so bad when the frame rate is being reported as so high. At 100+ FPS it should be as smooth as butter, but it feels awful. Something is bad wrong.

2023 played and looked 100x's better on my PS5 vs. my PC and I have a brand new rig with a 4090 and 13900k connected to the same OLED tv.

Try turning off RAY TRACED ambient occlusion, see if that helps

I'm surprised about people's complaints. I have an rtx 3080 with the latest drivers. Initially there was quite a bit of stuttering but after turning on vync at 60 fps, turning off some things ambient occlusion and lowering shadows, it runs pretty well. Just some occasional stuttering in the presentation screens and before plays. It runs better for me than EA Sports PGA Tour.

I just tried turning on VSync and locking to 60 FPS and it runs much smoother for me as well. Seems like the "Uncapped FPS" option is completely busted right now. There's a major frame timing/pacing issue or something going on.

Yeah same thing with 2k last year, idk why but sports game just run better on 60 fps capped, you will think more fps = better but not the case with madden & 2k .

60 fps capped, v-sync, I'll also even advise changing your monitors refresh rate to 60hz.

This should give you the smoothest experience.

Hoping for an Nvidia driver update for the game within the next week. Pretty frustrating to play at the moment.

Changing everything to lowest graphics settings, and locking at 60fps helped me a bit for now
