workshop maps, their location and editing

hey all, i worked out how to edit workshop maps, and thought i would share the knowledge.

workshop maps are stored in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content

they will be in a bunch of random numbered folders, you will have to click about a bit to find the one you want.

once you have the map you want to edit then you need to copy it and paste it to the "working" folder which is stored in

C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Firefly Studios\Stronghold 1 Definitive Edition\Maps

and once you have pasted it in there (no need for folders) you might/will have to "unlock" the map

to do this you need this tool

the gunnie map unlocker, click the red "download file" button in the upper right of the window.

once you extract that tool you can click the unlock map button, search for the map you have pasted, then you will be able to edit the map in the in game map editor.
