New Eco-Campagne is just fire
fire fire fire and no way to prevent it. Building spread is not possible on most maps and wells are just cosmetics.

then build more wells. They dont prevent it, but they can contain it
no man, AI of the well sucks, all of them go to the same fire and it doesn't work

the main issue is how long after a building is put out that it becomes flammable again, but i beat the campaign on very hard and its possible to deal with, one method is to just delete the burning buildings, another is to build in sections with 4 buildings placed together in a set with 5 tiles in between with a well between the sets, something like:
OO _ OO
OO w OO
_w__w_
OO w OO
OO _ OO
if that doesnt work, try saving often so you have a save before a fire and just reloard to get better fire RNG, fires are scripted so they happen maybe once or twice a misssion, i think sometimes even 3 but they happen at the same minute into the mission

only 3? I hope you are joking, no matter the difficulty things catch on fire all the time, and apple orchards even bug out! even if the fire is put out instantly, the trees disappear and you still have to delete and rebuild

it isnt all the time they are scripted events you can predict

Building in clusters really helped me out. Of course also microing each fire helps a lot (slow down game speed and destroying burning buildings before they spread fire).
Rather spread out your wells since they always prioritize the closest burning building (one for each cluster max. 4 buildings)
Granary and weapon storage get one well each and there cannot be any buildings close to them
Keep about 50 wood handy in case your farms are burning, so you can rebuild immediately.

Fire! Fire! Fires everywhere! (ECONOMIC CAMPAIGN)

OMG! I know that I'm just a newbie to Stronghold DE, however, what's with the constant fires? I suspect the fires are scripted events, but no matter how many wells that I build, the wells seem to barely mitigate the constant outbreak of fires. Well placement only seems to affect the duration of the fires, but the fires are constant and unrelenting.

Cumulative damage to non-stone structures is catastrophic. It's a pyromaniac's dream. I've tried multiple placement configurations with no positive results. Despite the ravages from bandits and wolves, the depopulation of peasants and workers from constant fires is what seems to be an almost insurmountable problem.
