To answer your question, it has 3 campaigns. A combat campaign, an economic campaign, and a new campaign that I've yet to try but seems to be a story expansion.
It has an attack / defence of a castle mode. It has a "Castle Trail" which seems to be an attack / defence campaign of some kind but I have not tried. It also has multiplayer with no AI, so up to you if thats your thing. I've seen a few games hosted but not many.
To be clear, don't expect 100s of hours of content, but you'll get your monies worth.
there is no AI that can build stuff though so its always either build and defend, build, defend and attack a statick pre existing enemy castle or just attack a pre existing castle with pre defined troops.
some of the missions also may require you to attack a pre existing castle with pre defined troops and capture it to make it your own and then defend it against counter attacks.
Nah get SH crustader 1.
So I wouldn't feel bad about buying the game if I were you, I think it's very reasonably priced if you're willing to accept it only has a campaign, but supporting this means you might get the other side most RTS players hope for down the line... food for thought
