blessing peasants

I am playing the Economic Mission and I'm on "Bless the Peasant". I have tried everything I can think of to attain, and hold the 90% peasant blessing. What am I missing? Please help!

usually for such missions just fill every empty space with a church until you get it

I think i have heard somewhere that positive happiness buildings help with blessings, because people gather around them. Not sure about it though

i dont have the savefile anymore to count, but you really need A LOT of churches... the map was full when i reached it. would guess 50-60

For what it's worth, I ended up making several long lines of wells surrounded by churches. This kept a large number of peasants in one space meaning the priests could go and bless them easily.

One unique tactic mentioned here already was to kill off all the peasants so that you needed fewer to be blessed.

I took the suggestion of outnumbering the peasants with priests. (total population 108 number of priests 74) It finally worked.
I don't understand what that goal was supposed to accomplish. Having to build an unrealistic number of churches took away the realistic concept of that mission.
If anyone has an idea of what it was to accomplish, it would be most appreciated.

the problem stems from blessings being programmed to last for as short a time as they, so you need a stupidly large number of priests (religious buildings) to get the majority of your population blessed, so yeah you have to spam churches

stronghold crusader did a much better job with that aspect as well as adding a worthwhile buff for achieving high blessing

It's also an element of randomness to it that means it sometimes triggers way easier for others. Stronghold of course was the fist and had it's balance and design enhanced for the follow up.

Thanks for the kickback. I have been with Stronghold since their very first game and it is my favorite game of all the non-action games I play. But, I must admit, this deal angered and disappointed me to the point of passing on the mission. Because of your help, I didn't have to. :)

For those who still stuck at this mission....this is how stupid I had to do it....the amount of churches...
Also make your population above 100....the higher the numbers for some reason it made it easier to keep the blessing above 90%
