Also original SH fanboy would hate your feedback rather than playing HD or CD version. But here we are they are complaining when people wanted new stuff :)
Don't know about that. I'm an "original fanboy" too but I'm kinda disappointed with that Definitive Edition as it just feels like that wanted to make some more money with extremely limited effort. The new campaign sucks and besides that there's literally nothing new. The multiplayer UI and such is terrible too. We need a skirmish mode and the mode the OP mentioned would be great too for multiplayer. Single player already has it with the invasion mode where you also can create custom maps for it.
Maps are still to small, too. Mutiplayer battles are always the same and quite boring. There's not even space for castles when you play 3v3 or 4v4 lmao. What's the point of Stronghold when you can't even place walls and such? People just tend to build 1-2 towers where still some space is left and that's it.
And how in the world is it still not possible to rotate the map smoothly 360° degrees? Instead we're forced to rotate it 90° at a time. Once again, no effort was taken to make things better.
It's yet another missed opporunity and another failed "remaster" of an old game. I don't understand how this people can't modernize simple games. Stronghold really isn't a masterpiece when it comes to complexity.
