That wasn't really the question, though it could be the reality. Wasn't it a moonshot at unreal engine 5?
Was honestly shocked how much eyecancer this gave me (usually you remember "old games" way better as they actually look) and how well they improved the old Strongold as DE compared to the original.
It's not only menus/interface that got updated to modern standards but also graphics while keeping the original design of the game alive. Also the improved zoom factor is great.

I believe specifically they stated it's not actively in development and they're currently focusing 100% on this project.
