I do not like Warlords. Stronghold 3 is much better.

They both received 6/10 on average, I would not call that a success

The originals are legendary for a good reason, it's cheap because they're just buffing up the graphics and including a new campaign which in fairness is all you really need. If you're unsure play the original but I played the demo and saw how well the polished the game up and I would say 100% worth it.

Based on the demo alone - if I were buying it for the first time, it'd be an easy sale at the price. Knowing they are adding additional small, but useful, features makes it worth mulling over if you already own it especially if you would appreciate it running on modern hardware without caveats. That said, I wasn't initially excited about it. I have increasingly gained a little bit of enthusiasm for the effort. Overall, I'm still on the fence about the future direction of the studio under what is effectively new ownership (though one might argue familiar folks) might bring - I won't get my hopes up for future endeavors until I see the release and response on a broader scale. Still, credit to the studio for surviving as long as they had in a very unforgiving and dynamic market.

As I see it, let the leadership confirm that Stronghold 1/Crusader remains the game that the fans unanimously hold in high regards, and try to emulate in the future.
