Suggestions for Developers
Dear Devs,

I played most of the demo and am now playing the full game. Overall your game is a lot of fun to play!!

I do have a few suggestions that I hope you'll consider:

#1. The first suggestion involves the parry/riposte system. Since the parry involves a fair amount of risk (enemies can get a couple of good hits and knock down quite a bit of your health with a failed parry, especially early on in the game), I think some changes to the riposte system would be very helpful.

Currently, a successful parry results in the enemy putting it's head down, which then allows the player to get in a few hits before the enemy wakes back up and starts attacking again. Ripostes rarely result in the enemy's death, and with stronger enemies, parries/ripostes sometimes result in the enemy losing less than half of their health. Because of the risk of a failed parry, I think some changes to this system would be very welcome.

Since you've done such a great job of conveying the gory nature of fighting in this game, perhaps a successful parry could result in something like:

1. The enemy showing it's neck.
2. The riposte then resulting in the player cutting the enemy's head off with a single stroke.
3. If you want to keep stronger enemies alive post-parry, you could maybe have the parry/riposte take off one of their limbs, thereby reducing their overall health by 70-80% and maybe reducing their attack by 50% or so?

Along with some well placed vibration in the controller when a successful riposte occurs as well as a screen shake (for those that like that sort of thing), I think your parry/riposte system would be a lot better with these changes.

#2. The second suggestion is that it would be great to allow the player to grab onto ledges when climbing. I saw a few other posts about this from other players, and I agree that this would be a welcome addition to the game.

#3. The last suggestion is that I often find myself crouching when I don't intend to do so. I'm playing with a controller, and I think that perhaps if you just increase the downward angle required in the left stick to make your player crouch, fewer unintended crouches will occur.

Thanks again for all of your help and for making such a fun game :) BTW, I love the music!! Please pass along my sincere compliments to the composer/artist. It adds so much to the atmosphere :)

Cheers!!
