No Skirmish - like Vandal Hearts?

I saw in a review that there's no skirmish mode, so you can't grind up your characters by replaying levels. A game called Vandal Hearts had a similar mechanic, and you had to carefully choose who to use to kill enemies in order to level up evenly. Is that about how it works here, as well? If so, count me in.

Exp is character, and action, dependent, so yeah? If you don't use everyone equally some will fall behind, but you can use some global exp to train them up post battle.

I haven't really seen anyone mention how big the level disparity gets, though, worst case scenario.

well, i have the game and you can repeat the levels over and over for ressources/exp and so on.
and you get global exp which can be used for leveling
many many reviews just trash talk the game down with missinformations.

Yeah, there definitely is the ability to repeat stages. I think the game actually starts off pretty weak, but gets better as you progress. I wouldn't say it ever becomes a great game, but it becomes a lot more solid after you get past the dreary early part of the game.
