What I don't understand... why they need to remove small/short female body type? There are medical conditions that impact short stature too. Perhaps, short people also want to make a character like themselves. Flat out removing it, takes away body type diversity.
LOL, the 1% trying to reach.
Thats 1% more than what Amazon tries to reach with their changes.
None of the people they make the changes for will play the game at the end.
And all they achive is to hurt their own income before they even started.
Seems to be doing fine right now
So they want to stay in their rooms and let parents support them til 40+ and slide food under door, never make contact with opposite gender and marry a doll? Why?
Some people like fanservice, other dislike, but the original game has it. They completely remove it (the word they uses is 'adapt', lol) to the global 'western' version, it's not a togglable option, they assume as all other countries in the world dislike fanservice.
Besides, AGP classify as 13yr+ game. A 13yr old won't spend money (don't work) or time in this game, the new generation prefers high competitive games or mess up in roblox these days.
So whats going on is...
The people in favor of censor says:
you people that likes the fanservice should not play the game
when was originally the oppose, the game is anime based, the fanservice it's already cultural, so originally was to:
people that dislike fanservice should not play it.
That's the cause of all delay, and all discussions so far. Cause AGP fails to port every game, lol.
Then make your own game and not censore someone elses.
But Fan service doesn't even look like a selling point for this title in particular, even in the East.
The game is barebones, it is a skeleton of a MMO, and much like PSO2 they are trying to recoup their losses monetizing the hell out of it before it sinks.
Modern Japanese studios are extremely incompetent at making MMORPG because they only think of short-term profits and trying to capture the lewd whales.
It is a shame to see the same industry that gave us MMOS such as Phantasy Star Online and Final Fantasy 11 and Dragon Quest 10 and FF14ARR now basically release phone game after phone game disguised as a "MMORPG" for minimum effort and maximum profits.
Even if they released the game "as is" with 0 censorship and today, the game would die for all intentions and purposes within the first 3 months.
It may make them some money by catering to the loli enjoyers and lewders, enough to keep it around, but as an actual MMORPG it is dead on arrival even in the best scenario.
Sadly the Japanese industyr now see MMORPG the same way they see phone games, just excuses to rack in gacha and fashion money at the cost of any quality or content.
