and i never say u are not allowed to play this game i write (don't play this game IF you don't want to see a sexy character)
Genshin Impact is already having censorship and as long as I know its published here by same company that in Asia (MiHoyo), isn't it?
LMFAO.
if u want see a true difference of chinese and western try search Nikke and see the difference on chinese and western version (and is a pegi 12/T rated game)full of legs and b.... or for BP exemple i will take this:
https://twitter.com/BLUEPROTOCOL_JP/status/1278961757805924354?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
there high chance to censor/remove the succubus outfit because is too attractive on a pegi 12/T rate game but not for Nikke.
No an mmo
I mean. Can't I play a style of game I like just because I don't care if they are dressed as you like?
I could ask you the same. Why are you here if you are not even going to like the game because it will be censored?
i wouldnt say no AAA anime mmos. there have been. but they died or not well known. and ff14 is animeish. or semi. it not realistic at all lol.
Tower of Fantasy => Chinese
Aura Kingdom => Korean
Flyff => Korean
Phantasy Star Online 2 => Japanese
Maplestory => Korean
Ragnarok => Korean
From the moment when one can determine the country of development of a game without even checking, it is clear that Japanese games have a unique aura. If it were enough to create an anime universe to make it look like a Japanese game, everyone would know it.
For example, I have never been able to appreciate the storyline of a Chinese anime, even when ignoring the language and the names of the characters. It is immediately apparent that it is not Japanese, based on how the story is constructed. In the case of a Chinese/Korean game, the way in which its lore is created is also different.
If Japanese anime is so popular in other countries, it is for a reason. Why try to change that? There are already too few games that are entirely designed by Japanese developers and that truly give the impression of an anime game (currently, in MMOs, there is only PSO2, and it is starting to show its age...). Therefore, even the slightest changes aimed at making it less Japanese are not well-received by fans of anime.
There are Western MMOs and dozens of Korean trash games, but no, that is not enough. It is necessary to change one of the few games that does not target the same audience. Why? The only reason I see is for the same players who are tired of the MMO formula and will be tired of it in two months. A public that does not want to play an anime MMO but just another fleeting game while waiting for the next one. This has been the cycle since MMOs were first released.
Is it really necessary to make changes for these players who are ready to devour any game anyway? Even if it means once again alienating the intended audience?
As to whether the laws in force force censorship, the answer is no. Otherwise, games like Tera would never have been able to be released before. I mention this game because, as a reminder, it had an ESRB M but a PEGI 12+.
The game Blue Protocol was planned for an ESRB T rating anyway, so it is already more compliant than the aforementioned game. However, the PEGI rating has been changed from 16+ to 12+ (modified a while ago on the English Twitter).
This means that it was toned down just for the PEGI classification, even though this organization has been going crazy and becoming more puritanical for years (oh wait, just like the ESRB), and no one pays attention to it anymore. The game would still be played with an ESRB M/PEGI 16.
I mention this because it is not being modified according to the laws in force, which are very lax, especially for anime-style games, but only to decrease the age rating, managed by private organizations, which are on the contrary becoming more and more strict. I believe that games would be better off if these organizations could disappear.
Edit: who think anime that aren't made in japan can't be anime is saying this: wakfu/Cannon Busters/Avatar/RWBY and the great Castelvania but wait Castelvania anime is made outside the japan so is not an anime also like all the other the right answer is an anime at 100% and what do u think about Cyberpunk edgerunners is not anime but cartoon animated only because the game is made by poland developer and the anime is made by japanes animator so we can't categorize as an anime because the true developer of cyberpunk 2077 are poland and not japanes and also who draw an anime character is a cartoon character if not of japanese origin this is right? and please if we start talking about anime game style on the graphic style we can all say soulworker is not an anime game because is korean but a cartoon game.
anime and cartoon are the same thing what the difference from both, one is more used on est and the other in west the style of drawings are different but they follow almost the same result they are both animated immage in PC or paper but they have different design or style of presentation because of culture and this is why they have different name only for the style but this in not mean that the western people can't make anime only because is not japanese and must call it cartoon this is the same as japanes people they are free to do cartoon because is a western culture this is why pokemon or yu gi oh or even detective conan are categorized as cartoon and not anime in western audiance because have low age rate and the cartoon on western aim at this not like anime for all age rate but for some cartoon there are some exeption like rick and morty or south park and maybe even the simpson.and sincerely people can call it as they want. or u know what is a cartoon lupin III CGI but is japanese so is an anime with cartoon style and also anime style.how controversial is the world.only because western have different style from eastern and viceversa maybe only because cartoon are meant to be only for low age rate and anime for all age rate and this is why cartoon are more demential then anime because look fun to child and anime we can say they have ralistic body size but not in all anime meanwile in the wester are more based on unrealistic character with maybe some body with lower or high size but this is only one of the most difference of anime and cartoon but now day they they mix a bit of everything so this is why they can be call anime and cartoon at the same time.
tx to who put the clown award and if u do such a thing u simple don't accept reality
yes the actual raiting of BP is not even official by the law of ESRB/PEGI and even all the other age restriction in other country like German,Brazilian,Australian ecc...is chosen by AGS and no one other because like them say we are aiming at T/12 age but he say (WE ARE AIMING) and is the most stupid ever made thing i ever see in videogame change the age rate audience
