HELP voice chat not working

i can't see the names of people who talk and can't see my own. it's not my microphone it works perfecly fine everywhere else. i can't hear them, and they can't hear me. i think something about the voice chat feature broke on my end but i can't know what or how.

what i tried...
-restart pc/game
-uninstall and reinstall game
-tried other microphone
-disabled all other input devices
-turned sonic sound on-off

am i the only one to who that happened?
how do i go about fixing it.

im starting to think i picked up a voice comms ban?
but seeing others with the same issue makes me doubt that
