Friend Pass

I fully understand why Free to Play would be something they want to avoid. Having to run the servers for potentially thousands of players who are paying nothing but causing a small team money for servers. Also cheaters being able to bypass easily since the game would not cost anything.

What I think would work really well is a friend pass. Where someone can download the game for free and can do the free play practice mode and tutorial but in order to queue up and take server resources they need to be in a party with a person who bought the game. They could even buy cosmetics and other stuff.

This would allow someone like me who wants to buy the game have some friends get invested with me without the upfront cost but you still get the money from at least one person per team for the server costs.

One of the most recent examples of this is with Lords of the Fallen which has a friend pass which is even cross platform. This seems like a no-brainer to me as this game will live or die on if you can get friends to play it with you and as long as I can bring friends in to try it I will always know I can find friends to play it with.

Maybe there is something server wise or coding wise that would make this not feasible but man I feel like something like this would help the game out TREMENDOUSLY. It also opens up the door to free to play down the line or a if you spend any money on the shop you can play.

2 new games just launched with this friend pass feature (Midnight Murder Club and Wondrous Sunderfolk) This seems like a no brainer for this game.

Anyone have any thoughts?

My thoughts are that there is no comparison between a FOOTBALL game and the twitch cashgrab game you bringed to the table with the other turn based dumb down party rpg game.. .football its HUGE, its just a worldwide thing. The other two? one it's niche and the other non existent .

No reason to do this at all. Just buy the game. You will get so many hours of fun.

I am not sure how realistic it is to convince 4 of my friends to buy it outright to try it out. If I buy it I will be at the mercy of random queue.
