It depends, Rocket League was a big hit for many years and it wasn't free, I can say it was even expensive. The price of Rematch is low compared to EA Sports, I was afraid it would cost $50 or more.

Remember back in the day rocket league also had a cheap price like this, before it went f2p. Worked pretty good, until they sold their soul to epic games.

25 euros is a resonable price. Considering that Sloclap is an indie studio, they can't be certain that the game will pop-off on launch and only rely on micro-transactions. Almost no indie studio will put their game out for free unless they know that there is money to be made. Maybe if you are lucky and nice to the devs they might put the game out for free or have a big discount in the future. In the meantime stop whining about a price that you can earn up to by doing chores or cutting grass for a few hours. This game is made by a talented studio that knows how to make a great game. Stop being greedy.

this is a sports game that you won’t have to pay for each year like most, absolutely will be paying for it, if you said this about shooters using the unreal engine then of course it dies if it isn’t free, the devs of this are solid and well deserving of some cash up front for what looks like a sportsgame i will be playing for many years

Ngl this kind of price for a game that has no offline support is quite concerning, but the free to play trend has completely ruined multiplayer gaming lets be real. Every game is full of smurfs and toxic subhumans not to mention cheaters. I'd be glad to go back to those times when we had to pay for multiplayer games if it means we get less of those vermins.
