Dragon Challenges are unfair
Ive played this game 45 hours on steam and another 80 on console release. These challenges are not for "Seasoned Players" they are unfair, as it seems to rely on luck exclusively. The modifiers are so stacked against the player that you practically have to rely on RNG to get through some of them. You have to hope the enemies spawn in a specific way so that you dont get ganked, you have to hope the brute throws the right attack so you can get him out of the way first, otherwise when the other enemies come up, you die. Furthermore, several seem to be bugged, namely "Hello death my old friend" there has been several occasions where i got the parry effect but died regardless. Ive played this challenge over and over and have seen the same moves but it seems like its 50/50 whether or not i actually land a parry even if I press it at the same time. There was also what seemed to be a bug in the "Dealing with Fajar" challenge where i would throw enemies off ledges from high places and they would just survive? I dont know if this is a feature but every once in awhile i would throw an enemy off the top floor of the warehouse and they would just come running back up like nothing happened. Is anyone else struggling with these? I never feel like i can ever get better at the challenges, i just have to get lucky. To me they feel like poor excuses for difficulty, in a game that balanced difficulty so well in the story and the tiger challenges

It's clear that 125 hours are still not enough and you still need more practice.

Dragon arenas sure are challenging but they are not unfair, far from it.

Nope. Can confirm that a lot of these "Challenges" are complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in terms of balance. If they're gonna stack the odds so far up their asses against us, at least make the rewards ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worth it.

Skill issue. Dragon Challengess are meant to be hard.

Don't know about unfair, but new arenas are ridiculously hard, especially dragon ones. To get stamps there one should have not just a good skill, but perfect skill. I had fun spending 60 hours in this game, but don't have desire to spend 100-150 hours more to perfect keyboard kung fu.

Btw, in some new tiger tower arenas camera angles along with level design are extremely annoying :styx3:

I thought the new arenas would be interesting, but there was nothing but inadequate requirements.

Yeah they're difficult. But I think the real problem for me is that they're simply not fun. They're not made for "seasoned players", they're made for players that absolutely loved the gameplay. Which I'm not one of them. I just enjoyed it. Also they're longer than necessary. There's 120 of them, some take +5 minutes, *IF* you get it first try. I did all of them, but most of the time I was bored because of their length or annoyed by the modifiers or "capture the zone" (who thought of that? lmao) Anyways, I think it would have been better if they invested in a story DLC ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I view the challenges just like in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. These Challenges are not designed to "entertain" people to have some Fun. Instead they are teaching the Player. To get all the Stamps you will need to think around the corner instead of thinking "how can i beat every Enemy afap. Its not always about pressing crazy combos and PERFECT Reactions. Its almost about Strategy. Sure some of them feel like random things happen, thats what i thought first. But after pratctise and patience (i am not talking about hundreds of hours) you will understand what i mean. I get the Stamps easy now, because i got better as a Player.

some of them my seem cheesy and random. I understand you, but just like in other challenging Games. You just need to find the right Strategy and practise. There is no shortcut for getting good in something. you have to do it over and over again.

“This profile reeks of skill issue” where are your gold dragon stamps then miss skill issue lmao, you say you 100% but you don’t even do dragon arenas and then you go to people’s post saying skill issue

Typical fraud

I do respect your profile and game accomplishments which does make this comment the more surprising to me. I really don't understand the aversion to reading and, at least for me, that isn't near a wall of text. My forum posting history is however.

The poster isn't incorrect either, at least it's debatable. I am not going to say that there are much better ways to address the issues given that the game is masterful and leading the class in this genre of gaming. That doesn't mean that it cannot be frustrating when one "gets gud" enough to actually recognize RNG when it does present itself. I really don't see what your issue with the post was to not offer any input to the actual discussion while just slamming the person with attacks instead?
